The Beverage Underground network is planning expansion as the weekly one hour show targeting the spirits, wine, beer and the entire beverage industry looks to move up and down Florida’s Gulf Coast as early as June. Currently the show airs in the Naples and Fort Myers radio markets on the tandem AM stations 1410/1660 that is known as ‘The Avenue’ every Saturday Morning at 10 am.

Gallo and Americans Get Scammed for 18 Million Bottles of Fake Pinot Noir and Impostures get Fines and Suspended Sentences
This past week the case that involved the sale of over 18 Million bottles of wine that was sold as pinot noir that wasn’t…ended when a French judge handed down suspended jail time sentences and fines that were called ‘hefty’. The International News service AFP reported that even though the amount of fines wasn’t publicized the defendants profited to the tune of $7 million on wine sold to E&J Gallo for their ‘Red Bicyclette’ Brand from 2006 to 2008.

It’s perfect with meals and just for sipping and drinking…but in the end, and in Summation it may be a question of price and versatility that makes this wine so approachable.

FRENCH WINE LOSES MORE GROUND
Once the undisputed leader in both quality and quantity of the wine produced worldwide, France is no longer either. Wines from Australia, Spain, Italy and the US continue to rack up more awards in more competitions, and both the supply and the demand for French Wines are down drastically. Italy now produces more wine and sales are dropping due to demand and consumer familiarity. To make matters even worse there are new players like Argentina and Chile that are gaining interest internationally and even China and India are nipping away at France’s leading export.

In a 2007 interview with the Los Angeles Times, Jackson stated that he “wanted to get away from law and become a farmer” because he was attracted by that lifestyle.
