Crippling rents, a below average season and rising costs of operation have effected the industry throughout Southwest Florida, but even though the latest casualties are well known names, neither locations demise came as a big surprise.

The Pewter Mug Restaurant, a Naples Landmark in its 39th year in business in North Naples has closed its doors, but is it just for the summer? The hopes of the locals that gathered there for last call on Saturday night May 16, is that ‘The Mug’ comes back on September 23, as planed and posted on the door. On Monday May 18…a ‘For Lease’ sign went up.
