The Coca-Cola Company has made a ‘cashless transaction’ to solidify distribution allowing the ‘Company’ to better control the products that are carried on your grocers shelfs as the world’s leading bottler realizes that ‘soda’ is losing its fizz with consumers.The shift in consumer buying habits means shoppers will see more new drinks — like coconut water, exotic teas and sports beverages — on store shelves.But the real story is that Coca-Cola should be able to more quickly adjust to shifting consumer preferences away from the core products of carbonated Coke, Diet Coke and Sprite.
