Orlando Bartenders Get Chance to Head to Tales of the Cocktail
Infinium Spirits Bartender Challenge Goes to O-town for Top Cocktail Recipes with New Orleans Trip ‘On the Rail’

Casa Noble Tequila by Carlos Santana will be featured in Infinium Spirits Orlando Cocktail Competition
One Orlando area bartender will be on their way to New Orleans with cash in his or her hand following the first ever Infinium Spirits Orlando Bartender Challenge that will be held Wednesday May 9 at the XL gallery lounge.
The event will feature nine qualifying bartenders from Orlando, Winter Park and Melbourne Florida as they vie for cash for cocktail creations in four categories with the overall winner being awarded a trip for two to the 10th Anniversary of the Tales of the Cocktail that will be held July 25-29, 2012 .
Central Florida gets their first ever Infinium Spirits Bartender Challenge on Wednesday May 9 at XL (Extra Large) gallery lounge located at 431 East Central in Orlando, Florida.
Infinium Spirits represents a line of luxury, world-class quality products and a total of $1000 is cash will be awarded in four categories for cocktails using Crystal Head Vodka, Zaya Rum, Casa Noble Tequila and a fourth for using one of remaining brands from the prestigious Infinium Spirits portfolio.
The classic spirits that are part of the fourth category are Fernet Branca, Branca Menta, Borghetti Expresso, Borghetti Sambuca, Punt E Mes, Carpano Vermouth Antica Formula and from the United States, Bartenders can mix up a summer classic to win with either Seagrams Sweet Tea Vodka or Seagram’s Peach Tea Vodka.
This is the first year for the Orlando Market as the success of the Infinium Spirits Challenge in Tampa and Miami increased the reach to Orlando for 2012.
“There has always been a great passion for these brands in Orlando and no doubt some of the most creative bartenders in the country in that area”, said David Kendall of Infinium Spirits. “We intend this competition to be an annual event that gives professional bartenders around the state a chance to go to New Orleans every year”, added Kendall.
Orlando bartenders that will be competing are Rick Gianassi of Ocean Prime, Amber Shaw of Shari Sushi, Adam Corbett of Sonoma, Josh Hettel of Mucho’s and Jordan Badran will represent The Stardust Lounge.
Zach Lynch will represent Taps and Hans Haina from The Pint, both located in Winter Park will join two Melbourne area bartenders, Haley Ryan of the Main Street Pub and Jessie Walker of The Firehouse Restaurant & Lounge to compete as well.
Each bartender has created a drink in each of the four categories and judges will award $250 to the makers of each of winning cocktails. Any type of cocktails are permitted and the products in the Infinium portfolio are all of the highest quality.
Cocktails will feature the ‘Pure Spirit’ by Dan Aykroyd Crystal Head Vodka, Zaya Rum the aged perfected rum from Trinidad and Carlos Santana’s exquisite Casa Noble Tequila, The fourth category has some classic brands from Italy that includeCarpano Vermouth Antica and Fernet Branca to name a couple.
The winner will join Bartender Brad Coburn at the Tales of the Cocktail representing Infinium Spirits and the State of Florida. Coburn, the owner-bartender of Pangea Lounge in Sarasota won the Second Annual Tampa Area Bartender Challenge held by Infinium Spirits on April 23 in St. Petersburg. Coburn took three of the four prizes and totaled $750 in addition to his weekend in New Orleans.
