The Beverage Underground Radio Show has brought new attention to the the bar and restaurant business and the spirited beverage talk show has its gotten the interest of enough listeners to expand the to one-hour. The weekly Saturday Morning Shows Beverage Underground Hour is hosted by Larry ‘Smokey’ Genta and originates on Florida’s Gulf Coast on AM radio’s The Avenue and it’s timeless cool format. Heard locally in Ft. Myers and Naples at 1410/1660 respectively, the AM signal reaches wide with reports of listeners from Key West to Sarasota.
Lively banter, weekly interviews and real news that motivates the sellers and buyers of all beverages from fine wines to spirits and from soft drinks to energy drinks are a part of every show, and Genta who has both bar and radio experience makes sure the topics are timely and fun.
Known as ‘Smokey’ to many, Larry Genta Jr. calls himself ‘a bartender who sold pallets’ and has been in and around the bar and beverage business for 0ver 35 years. He has owned and wrote a textbook for his own bar school, built a craft beer brand that was seen on the Sopranos, and has designed creative and profitable cocktail and beverage programs for all tiers of the industry.
