White Rock Distillers to Sell Pinnacle Vodka and Calico Jack Rum for Estimated $600 Million
The speculation that Jim Beam brands would acquire The Pinnacle Vodka brand is now eminent as The Wall Street Journal and other news outlets have announced the pending sale of the line of vodka along with Calico Jack Rum to Jim Beam Inc.
The deal for the two brands along with other brand assets is reported to be worth $605 Million for White Rock Distilleries‘ CEO Paul Coulombe who also built and sold the Three Olives Vodka brand that sold to Proximo Spirits in 2007.
The purchase of Pinnacle, one of the largest and fastest growing brands of flavored vodka, along with Pinnacle Gin and the Calico Jack line of flavored rums adds to the Beam portfolio which also includes Sauza Tequila, Maker’s Mark Bourbon, Canadian Club Whisky, Courvoisier Cognac and DeKuyper Cordials.
Pinnacle’s 2012 sales volumes are expected to exceed 3 million 9-liter cases and it’s one of the largest imported vodka brands in the United States and is White Rock Distilleries biggest brand.
