Gallo and Americans Get Scammed for 18 Million Bottles of Fake Pinot Noir and Impostures get Fines and Suspended Sentences This past week the case that involved the sale of over 18 Million bottles of wine that was sold as pinot noir that wasn’t…ended when a French judge handed down suspended jail time sentences and fines that were called ‘hefty’. The International News service AFP reported that even though the amount of fines wasn’t publicized the defendants profited to the tune of $7 million on wine sold to E&J Gallo for their ‘Red Bicyclette’ Brand from 2006 to 2008.
