VENU LEFT…VODA LOUNGE COMING TO BONITA…AND DOWNTOWN FORT MYERS WELCOMES THE RED ROCK SALOON

Sure we hear things…count on Beverage Underground to have a buzz-on the comings and goings in Southwest Florida. Those that aren’t in Downtown Fort Myers may not realize that the nightclub Venu has closed and sold their rights to the property which will allow for the anticipated arrival of the Red Rock Saloon to Downtown Fort Myers. The Red Rock will be a restaurant as well as a saloon and we’ll have more on this in the coming days and weeks. Venu was owned and operated by Ryan Sherry a former promoter that always threw a great party at Venu and with his recent opportunity to move comes the announcement of VODA Lounge. Voda will be located in Bonita Springs in the Promenade in the upstairs space that was once Aja. VODA translates to water in so many languages and VODA will reopening the famous VIP room and have the biggest and best selection of Vodka in Southwest Florida. Now some may remember when we announced the coming of Alligator Rocks for that space…well…Alligator never rocked…in fact closed within weeks and so fast that they didn’t qualify for our Underground Tribute.

The current Underground Tribute is for Icabod’s who closed their doors on January 23rd…but Rob DeGennaro is coming back with his huge Icabod’s menu to what was the former Snug Harbor Waterfront Restaurant at the south side of the Matanzas Pass Sky Bridge. The very imaginative owner has come up with another characterter for T-shirts…the restaurant will be called Nervous Nellie’s Crazy Waterfront Eatery.

Heard about a place called Jack’s River Bar…opening on the Gordon River. We’ve seen it…a beautiful Yacht Club that lost all its members….and now they’ll try their hand and running a bar and restaurant. It might be fun by boat…but to get to this place you have to wind down a skinny North Road off of Airport Road. We wish everybody well…but wow this is going to have the tow trucks on alert.
