Nightlife Shifts As V Lounge Opens to Rave Reviews

VLounge logoScott D’Antuano celebrated two years of throwing his own party at the all new Vision Nightclub 2.0 on Saturday November 21 and the celebration will continue this week, next month and for years to come.   D’Antuano recruited and reunited with VIP Mike Messina to sway a new but familiar staff to create the “Party You’ve Been Waiting For” at the V Lounge an upscale, fun and exciting new way to party late.  The Perrier Jouet Champagne was flowing and Roberto Cavalli and Svedka Vodka was featured in this pre-season launch.

Over the past several months we’ve seen a some new attempts to grab nightlife in Southwest Florida, but while some seem to be grasping at stirrers…others have ramped up and made their venues better and more complete.

In North Naples, Vision Nightclub has quietly but boldly recreated themselves and the recent opening of their V Lounge had all of Southwest Florida buzzing over the weekend.  As always, Mike Messina was the consummate host, but the real shocker was that nearly the entire staff of Sway was in place and making the party the hottest invite in town. Legendary Miami DJ Ani Phearce, his dancers and his beats moved the packed house and they  rocked the dance floor with the help of local percussionists.  Although Sway has had recent success with a few promotions including International sensation Tiesto, they’ve struggled and almost a dozen staff members have left, many making the move to Vision and the V-Lounge.   “We’ve got all the right components to offer the best party, the best entertainment and the best service in the area” said Vision owner, and promoter Scott D’Antuano. Besides reuniting with Messina and the recent addition of the Sway staff D’Antuano maintains a core crew that includes the best and most versatile DJ’s in the area.  In addition he brought his friend and Beverage Industry veteran Larry ‘Smokey’ Genta as his company BarMechanics to plan and complete the transition. “Smokey’s the pro that brings a better way…and adds so much in so many areas we needed” added D’Antuano. “We’re building a team of local professionals that know, love and are driven by the nightlife and together we’ll be here for a great season and many years after”,  who built his business from his days as the House DJ and entertainment coordinator at Asia in The Promenade in Bonita.

Expect more exciting  entertainment options as this team is currently promoting a Wednesday Night “Rock of the Ages Tribute Concert Series’ that will feature a Van Halen Tribute and Journey Tribute in the coming weeks. Every Thursday B-103 broadcasts live from Vision when DJ Vinny Foo spins to the best Thursday Night Club scene.

The Hottest Latin Dance Party in Southwest Florida is at Vision every Friday for the past two years with the most upscale and diverse Latin dancers converge to enjoy 3 styles of Latin Music in three different party places.  The Saturday Party at the V Lounge will be the highlight of the week as guest DJ’s will bring the best mixes from throughout the country. In the coming weeks Vision will also host the best touring Male Revue shows at 8 PM in an Ultimate Ladies Night Out promotion.

After Asia closed and the investors and management went back to their Real Estate racket, Scott D’Antuano stayed in the business he knew and loved. He created business with a passion and specialized in bringing the party to the owners of restaurant licenses that needed identity or revenue or both. He’s recorded and produced as DJ Scotty D  and  ‘Scotty the Body’ but as a promoter, his Main Event Promotions company created the nightlife that still remains at Noodles Italian Restaurant and Sushi Bar and helped breathe life into the Sanibel Steakhouse in Naples when their dinner trade suffered. He’s also brought his party to restaurants and bars from Marco Island to Cape Coral and had a strong client and waiting list when the opportunity to invest in his own party place came.

Vision Nightclub opened in November of 2007 in a building that has been home to countless businesses over the last 40 years, and D’Antuano has fought it’s jaded past and lack of signage that meets Collier County restrictions. Best known for it’s years as ‘Kahki’s” or Calvin’s it’s also been a greek restaurant called Pegasus, a Chinese restaurant and even the interim home of the Galley and was known for drag shows for a short time.
