New Locally Owned Restaurants Help Southwest Florida Economy ‘Move Forward’ with Great Cuisine Options

Hospitality Business pops in Bonita and Naples and lights up the New Year!

Chef Richard Amador Returns

At least 7 restaurants have opened or are getting ready to re-open from Bonita Beach Road to Naples, and while the gloomy outlook of the  local newspapers remind us how bad it is, hospitality employees are working, earning and spending to make it better.

In Naples just north of the Coastland Mall, Master Chef Richard Amador is planning a mid January opening of Amador’s Bistro Italiano.  Amador first occupied the space in the Plaza Walk across from Red Lobster back in the 90′s and he’ll return with a beautiful restaurant and the same fine Italian Cuisine that he’s known for. Just north of Amador’s a new Mexican theme will give it a try in the location where Meson Ole restaurant was. Expect Mr. Tequila to try to capture some added margarita business along with offering Tex-Mex and authentic mexican  favorites. But most surprising and inviting is that the building that was formerly Denny’s, has been transformed to Blueberry’s, a homestyle breakfast, lunch and dinner restaurant.

In North Naples just south of Immokalee Road, Rudi European Restaurant will open at 108th Avenue North where ‘Mr. G’s restaurant has been for the last few years.  They’ll open just after the New Year and will have an full menu of European and German cuisine.

Bonita Beach Road is beginning to fill vacancies as well as the owners of Fitzgerald’s opened ‘The Stage’ recently in the old Spectators location.  the stage will offer live music seven days a week, and plenty of early bird and value menu items. West of US 41, Jimber’s will occupy the Tiki Bar which closed late summer, and while Wylde’s Cafe is still open, Crust won’t reopen and has switched hands and will be opening soon as The Tuscan Bistro.

New Jobs and new opportunities are becoming a part of South Lee County and Collier County as great new restaurant options helps the local economy with hospitality and the welcome mat to all commerce here in Southwest Florida.
