A series of ads for Miller Lite were yanked after The Order of Sons of Italy in America asked MillerCoors to halt the campaign that was intended to be a ‘lighthearted satire using pop culture imagery,’ according to Peter Marino, a spokesman for MillerCoors. The ads touting Lite’s new “taste protector” cap featured a spoof of a mob-like figure offering “protection” to a clerk tending the beer aisles.
