Beverage Underground Radio Announces Expansion to One Hour

POURING IT ‘ON THE AIR’ AND ‘OVER THE INTERNET’…BEVERAGE UNDERGROUND RADIO CONNECTS HOSPITALITY INDUSTRY PROFESSIONALS

Beverage Underground Radio announced expansion to a one hour broadcast program beginning in early March. The show airs every Saturday Morning on the hot new ‘timeless cool’ music mix found on AM 1410/1640 that can be heard throughout Southwest Florida.The show is hosted by Larry ‘Smokey’ Genta who delivers entertaining, informative and topical news from his 35 years as a bartender, buyer, seller, marketer and mixologist of beverages. The half hour show debuted on February 6 and by early March will be increased to one hour to better accommodate the area’s industry news and provide feature weekly segments that highlight and introduce beverages of all kinds. ‘Smokey’ has mixed and designed Martinis to Mocktails and has launched new products from the Wine Bars to the Coffee Bars and from Country Clubs to Night Clubs. Beverage Underground Radio is an extension of the locally distributed infozine and its more expanded website that began as a trade and industry publication for the working staffs of establishments that serve and sell spirits, wines, coffees, teas, beer, juices, energy drinks and beverages of all types.

‘Smokey’ Genta is a long time resident of Southwest Florida who is the editor of the Beverage Underground and also serves as a bar and restaurant consultant. He began his career in Naples at the Witch’s Brew Restaurant & Lounge in 1980 and has served in management and as a sales and service leader through the years at nightclubs and restaurants throughout Southwest Florida. He was the founder of the Suncoast School of Bartending and has trained hundreds of bartenders, managers and consulted and sold at every tier of alcohol beverage sales. Genta has built brands and staffs and has been the creative force or contributed to the success of iconic Southwest Florida industry names creating Beverage Programs for the Blu Sushi Group and his bar legacy traces back to Norma Jean’s Dance Club and Hollywood Knights in the 80′s and Club Oasis in the 90′s. Genta was also an award winning sales representative for beverage alcohol distributors in Florida earning Regional and National Awards and recognition. He created and marketed a regional craft beer and left the beverage business only to become the business manager for World Champion Wrestling Superstar Diamond Dallas Page who he met while in the bar business.
