Beverage Underground Lives On as ‘One Take Larry’ Smokey Genta Joins Cheney Brother’s Team of Industry Professionals
The latest video production of the Beverage Underground youtube channel is a collection of mistakes and humorous outtakes of the video blog portion of www.BeverageUnderground.com that will mark the start of a new era for the popular all things beverage website.
The first part of the video has a bit of industry buzz that is less of a secret to those that know Smokey as the kind of guy that often hears news as it hits the grapevine.
Larry ‘Smokey’ Genta has announced that he has joined the Cheney Brothers Team of Industry Professionals as a District Sales Representative for Florida’s largest and the South’s fastest growing Independent Broadline Hospitality Distributor.
Cheney Brothers employs nearly 40 dedicated and industry respected specialists in addition to their growing sales team. Over the next two years Cheney Brothers will provide over 300 jobs in Southwest Florida.
The Beverage Underground will continue, but Genta will have a new focus and his announcement is the lead-in to a BeverageUnderground ‘blooper reel’ that was compiled from clips of the video arm of the informative marketing site.
Genta has over 35 years experience in varied roles throughout the Bar, Beverage, Restaurant and Entertainment Industries, mostly in Southwest Florida and is a Naples (Florida) High School graduate. Most recently he has freelanced as a Hospitality Consultant with www.BarMechanics.com a network developed to a be full service ‘go to source’ for independent on-premise spirits license holders.
“This blooper reel started the first time Rick Church turned the camera on”, said Larry ‘Smokey’ Genta who erroneously and tongue in cheek identifies himself as ‘One Take Larry’ in the video. “Rick Church is most often behind the camera and always is the video editor and creative producer…without Rick, this video fun would have never happened”, added Genta.
