Alec Bradley Cigars is a great American success story that was established in 1996 by Alan Rubin, the son of an importer of hardware supplies. Rubin launched his brand of handmade cigars, named after his children, as the ‘cigar boom’ was ending. Rubin was resilient, after first making a cigar targeted specifically to golfers and sold through Country Club Pro Shops.
After continuing his effort by targeting tobacconists with a line of budget cigars, in 2007 Alec Bradley and Alan Rubin released a full-flavored line of cigars he called ‘Tempus‘. Estimates have Alec Bradley Cigars selling close to 3 million cigars worldwide in 2011.
