239Buzz: Wayne Ballard Resigns as SWS Area Manager
Opportunity to Join Chateau St. Michelle Florida Team Lures ‘Champagne Wayne’ to Supplier Tier
Wayne Ballard who has been with Southern Wine & Spirits for over 15 years and for the last two has been the West Coast Area Manager has resigned his position. Reports that has accepted a position to represent Chateau St. Michelle portfolio as well as Nicholas Feuillate Champagne which features prestigious Cuvée Palmes d’Or Champagne have been confirmed.
Ballard covered the territory from Marco Island to North Fort Myers and oversaw all sales of Wine and Spirits for Southern Wine & Spirits. SWS services Lee & Collier Counties from their Miami office, and as Area Manager Wayne Ballard was responsible for all on-premise sales managers and account representatives.
Prior to his time in Southwest Florida Wayne represented SWS on Florida’s East Coast, and replaced Stephen Rosenfeld who returned to Southern Wine and Spirits as an Area Manager in Broward County. During his stay Ballard made great strides closing the gap created when this territory was switched to a Miami-based administrative arm after being serviced from Tampa since the formation of the company here in Florida.
No successor has been named and the position is currently open and posted on the Southern Wine & Spirits website.
