BAKON VODKA LAUNCHES IN FOUR STATES – SEATTLE GOES HOG WILD!
Black Rock Spirits just may have revolutionized the ‘eye-opener’ with the recent release of Bakon Vodka, a potato based Vodka that has vegetarians squealing and sales sizzling. The first bacon flavored vodka exploded on to the scene in Seattle fueled by a bartender recipe competition, and so far placements are multipling and sales remain brisk.

VOLATILE MARKET, CRIPPLING LEASES CRUSH TWO MORE AREA FAVORITES
Ruth’s Chris Steak House stay at the Coastland Mall lasted just over two years as they closed their doors on Saturday May 23, 2009, and a week later Blu Sushi closed their Naples location after five years of struggle on Third Street South. Crippling rents, a below average season and rising costs of operation have effected the industry throughout Southwest Florida, but even though the latest casualties are well known names, neither locations demise came as a big surprise.

When Diamond Standard Vodka was released by the Illinois-based Diamond Beverages LLC, they established their product as the most expensive in the category, and said that they were the only ‘luxury vodka’. Will Vodka filtered through DeBeers Diamonds sell?

THANKFULLY, VODKA GETS A BETTER NAME THIS TIME AROUND
Back in 2006, a company called TransBorder Marketing, Inc., based in New York announced the release of what they called the globe’s most expensive vodka because diamonds were used to purify it. It was to be called Diaka Vodka, a joining of letters from two words….Diamond and Vodka.
Are you kidding me? Someone thought people were going to ask for a “Dirty Diaka Martini?”

James Bond Didn’t Really Say ‘Shaken…not Stirred’
Ian Fleming’s Casino Royale was the first ever James Bond book in 1953, and it was in that book we first learned about his drinking habits. He first drinks a Haig & Haig Scotch ‘on the rocks’ but later in the casino, we get the first ever description of James Bond’s classic drink, the recipe and how he named it.
